UK and European Representative
Lindsay Nieman is XL Innovate’s representative in the UK and Europe and is XL Catlin’s Head of Business Development for the Crisis Management Division.
Based in London, Lindsay joined the Kidnap, Ransom and Extortion Underwriting team at XL Group in 2013. From there she went on to be involved in rolling out a number of strategic and innovative products for Crisis Management; such as a Malicious Cyber Attack product and an Active Assailant product; and for helping oversee the management of the 6 Crisis Management lines of business.
Lindsay is an insurtech advocate. She is a working group member of the World Economic Forum’s “Mitigating Risks in the Innovation Economy” Project and is a mentor at the Startupbootcamp insurtech accelerator. She is also an independent investor through her angel investment group – Wild Blue Cohort.
Prior to joining XL Group, Lindsay spent 7 years at Sony/ATV Music Publishing focusing on business strategy and commercial partnerships.
Lindsay holds an MA (Gen) in International Relations from St. Andrews University (Scotland), an MA in Intelligence and International Security from Kings College London, and an MBA from INSEAD.
